Soi Dog 2026 Q2 Update

The mobile team operated across nine locations in Songkhla Province between late March and the end of June 2026. Treating 2,619 dogs and 39 cats, including a young stray puppy named Kewalee who was found with a severe open fracture to her hind leg. Rather than simply sterilising and returning her, the team transferred her to Soi Dog's Phuket Hosptial for emergency treatment. As she is unlikely to be able to survive safely on the streets, she will remain at the sanctuary once she has recovered.

It's a good reminder that the programme not only prevents future suffering through population control but also enables the team to rescue and treat animals in urgent need when they encounter them during their field work.

Overall, this was another strong quarter with consistent delivery and a meaningful milestone of more than 50,000 animals treated through the program.
