LSE is recognised as one of the foremost social science universities in the world

Lance Uggla is an LSE alumnus, having graduated from the School in 1986 with an MSc in Accounting and Finance. In December 2020, Lance and his family pledged £25.2 million to create the Uggla Family Scholars Programme which awards ten new full scholarships each year in perpetuity. The scholarships are awarded to those that otherwise could not afford to go to university but are strong academically and have determination and show personal acheivement. Today we support the education of thirty students at LSE.
